Battles, a great group from New York, will perform on September 17 at Teatro Barceló in Madrid, within 981 Heritage cycle. Battles is one of the leading groups of math rock.
Founded in 2002 by Ian Williams (guitarist and keyboardist), they worked at first as a quartet, working with noise and experimentation but without falling into the sophisticated music label. They stayed until Tyondai Braxton (guitar, keyboards and vocals) left the ship while recording his second album, “Gloss Drop” (2011). Reconverted in a trio force and by surprise, with John Stanier (drums) and Dave Konopka (bass, guitar and effects) to support the work of Williams and not having therefore lost none of gallons or attractive.
Los40 continues celebrating 50 years of music so they wanted to have the most international figure of our rock for the next BASIC 40.
