Illya Kuryaki and The Valderramas

Illya Kuryaki and The Valderramas (IKV) is one of the most important and influential bands in Latin America since the 1990s, when the duo with only 14 and 16 years old released their debut album “Fabrico Cuero” (1991) On the first Argentine rap album. Since then, Dante Spinetta and Emmanuel Horvilleur, owners of their own universe and sophisticated musical taste, are part of the vanguard of new Latin American rock fusing rock, hip-hop, funk, rap and soul with a retro aesthetic, lyrics punctuated by jokes, References to popular culture and a 100% carefree attitude.

His album “Chaco” was chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best 100 albums of Argentine national rock, in 1996 his single “Abarajame” became an instant hit throughout Latin America, arriving at the MTV Awards and winning In the category “Best New Video”.

Throughout their career they have collaborated with artists of the magnitude of Stevie Wonder, Benjamin Biolay and Charly García, have recorded the first MTV Unplugged in Spanish and have been nominated / awarded in the Grammy Awards on several occasions, including the last release in Which took the statuettes to “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Best Video” by “Black Rooster” (Nominated also to the Berlin Music Video Awards).

With each record they have been approaching an evolution and maturation of sounds and lyric of their songs. His latest release, L.H.O.N, has two major international collaborations: renowned Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade in “Ey Dios” and singer R & B Miguel in “Estrella Fugaz”.

In February of 2017 the band will disembark with its tour by the main European capitals.
